Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company has signed a contract with the Coordination Council for Institutions and Companies Serving Domestic Pilgrims for the implementation of “Study of Satisfaction of Pilgrims and Workers in Companies and Institutions Serving Domestic Pilgrims for Hajj Season 1443 AH”. This study diagnoses the current status of Hajj system and measures satisfaction therein in preparation for its development and improvement in the future. The Company was represented by His Excellency Eng. Amin bin Ali Yamani, in his capacity as the CEO. The Council was represented by His Excellency Dr. Saed bin Saeed Al-Juhani, in his capacity as the Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Council.

The Council chose Wadi Makkah as the consultant implementing this study because of the capabilities and comprehensive experience that the Company possesses in qualifying services, competencies, scientific research and advisory expertise in various fields.

The framework included all spatiotemporal and human domains. The study presented by the Company deals with the descriptive characteristics of the sample and measuring the level of satisfaction of domestic pilgrims with the services provided to them by institutions and their service companies, and measuring the level of satisfaction of leaders of institutions and companies serving domestic pilgrims about the support provided to them, as well as measuring the level of satisfaction of workers on serving pilgrims of institutions and companies serving domestic pilgrims.

His Excellency Eng. Amin Yamani clarified that the objective of this contract is to implement services to assess and study the satisfaction of domestic pilgrims during Hajj season 1443 AH. The study aims to measure the satisfaction of domestic pilgrims with the services provided to them, raise efficiency and the level of hospitality services, and evaluate and measure the satisfaction of service providers and leaders of institutions and companies serving domestic pilgrims to enrich and improve the experience of the pilgrim in order to achieve the company’s aspirations to contribute to the program of serving the pilgrims in accordance with vision 2030.

Discussing Aspects of Cooperation between Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company and the Academy of Arabic Poetry

HE Dr. Mansour Muhammad Al-Harthy, Director of the Academy of Arabic Poetry, discussed during his visit to the headquarters of Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company the aspects of cooperation between the two parties that would enrich Arabic language and its literary arts through a variety of academic and recreational activities and events.

This visit was due to the successes achieved by Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company in launching training packages in Arabic for non-native speakers, in addition to launching initiatives with various programs and different solutions aimed at facilitating ways to learn Arabic language and bringing its various knowledges closer to native speakers and others in order to achieve a positive view towards Arabic language.

Through its activities, the Academy of Arabic Poetry is concerned with supporting and publishing the studies of historical and contemporary Arabic poetry, rehabilitating those of poetic and critical talents and developing their abilities, supporting Arab poets and critics and honoring the distinguished persons among them, in addition to holding conferences, forums, seminars and lectures specialized in Arabic poetry, and issuing annual reports on the current movement of poetry, as well as providing everything that helps spread of poetic culture and document it scientifically.

On Monday, Shawwal 19, 1442 AH, Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UniMAP of Malaysia (University Malaysia Perlis) to serve the global knowledge and to disseminate the Company's knowledge products in the field of Arabic language, in addition to training materials for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Wadi Makkah Company was represented by its CEO, Eng. Ameen Ali Yamany, while UniMAP was represented by its Vice President Prof. Muhammad Rizal Arshad, in the presence of HE the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company, Dr. Adnan Al-Mazrou and HE Dean of the College of Applied Sciences and Humanities at UniMAP Prof. Halim Arefin and HE the President of the International Chamber of Commerce in Kuala Lumpur, Prof. Hashim Salih.

UniMAP is one of the four most prominent technical universities in Malaysia, as it seeks to graduate highly skilled engineers to contribute to national development and global industrial competitiveness. Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company hosts the First Session of “Maqam Training Package for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims” as an enforcement for Kuala Lumpur Chamber of Commerce Agreement

Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company, in cooperation with the Kuala Lumpur Chamber of Commerce, hosted the first session of “Maqam Training Package for Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims” for a period of three days, starting on Monday, May 16, 2022 AD, at the headquarters of Wadi Makkah for Technology Company as an enforcement for the contract concluded between the two parties.

The training was received by 26 trainees. The trainees got acquainted with the scientific and technical solutions provided to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, which help them to perform the  rituals of Hajj and Umrah correctly and properly. The training covers the devotional, health, moral, social, and security aspects to enrich and improve the experience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to achieve the Company’s contribution to the pilgrim service program in accordance with the aspirations of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

“Learn Arabic Initiative Activities Recommendations Workshop” presents new work horizons for the dissemination and empowerment of the Arabic language

 

Learn Arabic Initiative, sponsored by Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company, owned by Umm Al-Qura University, held a workshop entitled (Learn Arabic Initiative Activities Recommendations: Work Prospects and a Draft Plan). It was attended by a group of management specialists, linguistic academics, and a group of specialists in teaching Arabic to Non-Arabic Speakers.

It is noteworthy that the Initiative held a number of events in the past year that concluded with a set of recommendations to enhance the presence of the Arabic language at the local and international levels, and its dissemination on social media, and to support specialized institutions and quality programs in such field.

The workshop concluded with a number of recommendations, the most notably is to consider the progressive levels of learning Arabic language and the preparation of programs offered to Non-Arabic Speakers, the design of programs and training packages for teaching the language for special professional purposes, and the importance of obtaining a language license by the job applicant to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The workshop emphasized the importance of entertainment programs that present poetry to children in a lyrical form, in order to teach them the classical Arabic language.

The workshop also emphasized the importance of having a unified national framework shared by institutes of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and making the necessary partnerships with the relevant ministries to spread and serve Arabic language.

Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company signed Maqam Training Package Contract for Pilgrims and Umrah Performers with Kuala Lumpur Chamber of Commerce on Shaaban 20, 1443 AH, corresponding to March 23, 2022 AD, at the headquarters of the Conference & Exhibition for Hajj and Umrah " Transformation Towards Innovation" in Jeddah.

The Company was represented by His Excellency Eng. Amin Bin Ali Yamani, in his capacity as CEO. The Chamber of Commerce was represented by His Excellency Dr. Hashem Saleh, in his capacity as its CEO. The two parties seek to achieve a common goal to train Pilgrims and Umrah Performers in Asian countries by providing a specialized training curriculum for Pilgrims and Umrah Performers.

"Maqam" Training Package provides scientific and technical solutions to train pilgrims and Umrah Performers to perform their Hajj and Umrah rituals properly through covering the devotional, health, moral, social, security, and safety aspects, to enrich and improve the experience of Hajj and Umrah.

His Excellency Eng. Amin Yamani stated that Kuala Lumpur Chamber of Commerce will operate with its full powers to dispose of the product exclusively during the contract period in the countries covered by the contract so that the Muslims living there can benefit from it as well as enriching and improving the experience of the Pilgrim and the Umrah Performers in a way that achieves the Company’s aspirations with regard to contributing to Pilgrims' Service Program according to Kingdom's vision 2030.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company and Sultan Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation in Riyadh. This Memorandum aims to promote the uses of Arabic language in non-speaking societies. The executive directors, HE Eng. Ameen bin Ali Yamany, in his capacity as CEO of Wadi Makkah, and HE Mr. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Khulaifi, in his capacity as the Director General of the Foundation, signed this Memorandum in the presence of HE Dr. Faisal bin Ahmed Allaf, CEO of Wadi Makkah for Technology, and HE Prof. Hassan Bukhari, Dean of Arabic Language Institute at Umm Al-Qura University, HE Prof. Ahmed Al-Droubi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Umm Al-Qura University, HE Dr. Mansour Al-Shawish, Secretary of the Board of Trustees and Director of the Office of His Highness the Secretary-General, and HE Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Maqoshi, Assistant Director General for Cultural Affairs and Media, and HE Eng. As required by the interest of serving Arabic language, the two parties identified mechanisms for promoting the uses of Arabic language in non-speaking societies, including: Providing specialized consultations in Arabic language projects, in addition to holding a series of workshops, designing and presenting scientific curricula with high-quality designs and based on the agreed upon and approved standards in European framework, as well as implementing a number of training courses at different levels.

It is worth noting that Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company seeks to implement the National Vision 2030 through its various advisory services provided to government and private agencies, with the aim of investing in intellectual production, knowledge products and education and training services for transfer and dissemination of knowledge in a manner that enhances its role in building a knowledge society. Wadi Makkah for Knowledge holds a Workshop on “Data Investment in the Field of Archives and Manuscripts”

Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company organized a workshop on “Investing Data in the Field of Archives and Manuscripts” in order to activate the Agreement concluded between the Company and Elm Foundation for Archives and Manuscripts under the patronage of the Dean of Library Affairs at Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Adnan Sharif; with the aim of developing and improving the digital transformation of archives and manuscripts through digital technology, as well as serving researchers and relevant authorities, and taking care of cultural heritage worldwide.

The workshop discussed a number of themes including establishing collaborative opportunities to create a digital platform that enables target segments to access and share manuscripts and data. The workshop also touched on the mechanism of updating the contents of Elm platform, user interfaces and the system administrator, and included a package of executive programs to activate cooperation between Wadi Makkah for Technology and Elm Foundation for Archives and Manuscripts.

The Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khalid al-Faisal, at the Emirate's Office in the Holy Capital, witnessed the signing ceremony of the memorandums of understanding of Wadi Makkah Technology Company, owned by Um al-Qura University, with the Saudi Authority for Health Specialties and the Saudi Center for Patient Safety, with the aim of activating the "Abjad" training bag, and testing "maqn" to measure the efficiency of the Arabic language for health practitioners for other speakers, as part of the initiatives of the Mecca Cultural Forum under the slogan "How to set an example in the language of the Qur'an", in the presence of His Excellency the Rector, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Pavel. The agreements were signed by Wadi Makkah Technology Company ceo Dr. Faisal Allaf, with The Secretary General of the Saudi Authority for Health Specialties Dr. Ayman Abdo and The Director General of the Saudi Center for Patient Safety Dr. AbdulIlah Al-Hawsawi. The memorandums of understanding aim to activate the "Abjad" training bag, and a codified test to measure the efficiency of the Arabic language for non-Arabic-speaking health practitioners, of different nationalities and languages, to raise the level of the language of communication with patients, to avoid and minimize the medical damage resulting from the inability to communicate effectively with the patient, to the extent that it helps to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of medical services provided in health facilities, and in order to meet the concept of patient safety. The Emir of Makkah region also launched the "Read Language Scale Platform", designed by Wadi Makkah Technology Company, owned by Umm al-Qura University, to raise the level of Arabic proficiency. The project seeks to provide some 360 testing centers around the world, and is an electronic platform for conducting tests in a legal manner, which measures the level of proficiency of the Arabic language among other speakers for general purposes, and is designed in accordance with the standards and scientific foundations accepted in the field of measurement and evaluation globally, aimed at spreading the Arabic language as a measure and finding its competences.
