Wadi Makkah Knowledge signs a “Memorandum of Understanding” with Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud Charitable Foundation

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company and Sultan Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud Charitable Foundation in Riyadh. This Memorandum aims to promote the uses of Arabic language in non-speaking societies. The executive directors, HE Eng. Ameen bin Ali Yamany, in his capacity as CEO of Wadi Makkah, and HE Mr. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Khulaifi, in his capacity as the Director General of the Foundation, signed this Memorandum in the presence of HE Dr. Faisal bin Ahmed Allaf, CEO of Wadi Makkah for Technology, and HE Prof. Hassan Bukhari, Dean of Arabic Language Institute at Umm Al-Qura University, HE Prof. Ahmed Al-Droubi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Umm Al-Qura University, HE Dr. Mansour Al-Shawish, Secretary of the Board of Trustees and Director of the Office of His Highness the Secretary-General, and HE Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Maqoshi, Assistant Director General for Cultural Affairs and Media, and HE Eng. Nasser bin Dakhil, Assistant Director-General for Projects, HE Mr. Mohammed Al Hammad, Assistant Director-General for Financial and Administrative Affairs, HE Mr. Mohamed bin Zaid, Advisor to the Director-General, and HE Mr. Suleiman Al-Omari, Head of Follow-up.

As required by the interest of serving Arabic language, the two parties identified mechanisms for promoting the uses of Arabic language in non-speaking societies, including: Providing specialized consultations in Arabic language projects, in addition to holding a series of workshops, designing and presenting scientific curricula with high-quality designs and based on the agreed upon and approved standards in European framework, as well as implementing a number of training courses at different levels.

It is worth noting that Wadi Makkah Knowledge Company seeks to implement the National Vision 2030 through its various advisory services provided to government and private agencies, with the aim of investing in intellectual production, knowledge products and education and training services for transfer and dissemination of knowledge in a manner that enhances its role in building a knowledge society. Because the Company aspires to be the driving reference for investing in knowledge and disseminating it with a scientific methodology, it has launched a number of brands that focus their efforts in serving Arabic language scientifically, most notably Learn Arabic initiative, Abjad Scale for Health Practitioners, and Iqra “Read” Series for Teaching Arabic.
